24 Oct Making Tax Digital – Free Drop in Sessions @ J36 Rural Auction Centre and Appleby

From 1st April 2019, if you are a VAT registered business with a turnover more than the VAT threshold (currently £85,000), not only will you have to submit your VAT return electronically direct to HM Revenue and Customs, you will also have to keep digital records as part of a new regime called Making Tax Digital (MTD).

This signals the end of keeping paper records via hand written ledgers or shoe boxes full of receipts.  Instead you will need to use compatible digital software to maintain your businesses records.

In order to make the change as painless as possible, we are hosting free one-to-one drop in sessions @ J36 Rural Auction Centre and Appleby.  During these 1/2 hour sessions we will be on hand to provide a detailed explanation of what is involved with the new regime, the tools available to help with the process and a live demonstration of suitable software which you can try.

The drop in sessions are open to all businesses, including non clients of Westmorland Accountants.

To book a session or if you have any questions regarding MTD call 017683 53217 or email [email protected].

We have been working towards MTD for the last year and are ready to help all businesses get compliant with digital solutions.

Those clients for whom we undertake bookkeeping and VAT return preparation can sit back and relax. Everything is in hand and we will be managing MTD on your behalf.
