09 Mar Energy Bill Support Now Open For Domestic Households on Business Tariffs or Off Grid Supplies – Farmhouses
Farm households previously excluded from the government’s £400 Energy Bills Support Scheme because they did not have a domestic supply contract are now able to apply for alternative funding.
Many farmhouses are supplied via a business tariff as part of the farm business electricity metre. They had been frozen out of the previous energy scheme as the support has been applied automatically (£67 per month) to domestic households with domestic tariffs/contracts.
If your live in a separate domestic home within a non-domestic property (such as a farmhouse or a flat above a shop) you can now apply.

There is a further £200 support for those with “off grid” connections. This includes farmhouse or properties heated via LPG, kerosene or gas cylinders etc.
